We offer a large open treatment and exercise area. The clinic also boasts 2 private treatment rooms, a separate massage room, and a Health & Wellness Store to care for all your bracing and rehabilitation needs.

In addition to offering early morning and late evening appointments, we offer the convenience of being able to submit paid receipts to most primary insurance companies on your behalf, with payment directed to the policy holder.  We also welcome WSIB and Motor Vehicle clients

Our Physiotherapy Services in Acton

Our Physiotherapists have been trained in a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue release, and vestibular and dizziness rehabilitation. In addition to treating shoulders, backs, necks, and knees, we offer two unique programs at our Acton location. Our Pelvic Health program has been well established in the community where we address both males and females with pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, pregnancy-related concerns, and postpartum mothers. While our Concussion Management program addresses our client’s return to activity through specific evidence-based programs. We offer the latest in therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential current, TENS, muscle stimulation, acupuncture and dry needling. In addition, we employ massage therapists that offer Swedish, myofascial and reflexogy.

Our Acton Physiotherapists & Staff

Meryl Da Costa

Registered Physiotherapist, BSc (PT), BHSc (Kin), Clinic Director

Meryl is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and McMaster. Meryl has furthered her education by completing a variety of Manual Therapy courses (Levels 1 – 3), Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Management, AFCI Acupuncture, Sports Taping, Pelvic Health Courses (Level 1-5), The Diane Lee Integrated Systems Model (Cranium, Cervical and Thoracic Spine and Lumbo -Pelvic – Hip) Her treatment techniques include the use of Manual Therapy, Soft Tissue Release Techniques and Specialized Exercise, to help return her clients back to their activities. Her clinical interests include men and women’s health, pelvic health, Concussion Management, shoulder, neck and vestibular rehabilitation sport injury rehab and SI Joint Rehabilitation. In addition to treating clients and managing both Acton and Georgetown locations she also mentors physiotherapy students and new physiotherapists that join the EPA team.

Dipal Modi

Registered Physiotherapist, M.Sc(PT)

Dipal is a Registered Physiotherapist and a graduate of University of Northumbria, UK (Honours in Health Sciences and Masters in Rehabilitation). Dipal has furthered her education by completing all 3 levels of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and other pelvic courses.She has also completed several courses and certification with Acupuncture/Dry Needling. She has also received certification in Sports Concussion Management. Dipal has a special interest in Pelvic Physiotherapy and treating Women’s and Men’s Health issues. Dipal has more than 10 years of experience in treating a variety of Orthopaedic injuries including shoulders, knees, low back, pre/post-surgical rehab and sports injuries. Outside of work, Dipal loves biking, hiking and long drives with her husband. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Tejdeep Kaur Sahni (Tej)

Registered Physiotherapist

Tej graduated from India with Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy in 2004. ( Guru Nanak dev university Punjab, India) is a certified member of The Indian Association of physiotherapists. Tej has her Physical Therapist Assistant Registration Certificate from the University of State of New York NY and is currently a Resident physiotherapist with the College of Ontario and am in Good standing. Prior to transitioning to private clinical practice,she has worked in a variety of settings including Multispecialty hospital (India) Community Gyms Long term cares My treatment approaches include Soft tissue releases, hands-on in combination with a targeted exercise program to establish patients’ rehabilitation goals. She treats patients with compassion and consideration using the best and latest therapeutic approaches in Physiotherapy. She is dedicated to continuing my education and currently pursuing a pelvic certification Tej is a family-oriented woman and loves spending time with her 3 lovely kids and husband. She is very close to my siblings and believes family is the most precious and exquisite gift of life. In my spare time, she is fond of reading religious scriptures. Her clinical Interest are 1. Orthopaedic focus 2. Pelvic health

Jesse Manuel

Registered Physiotherapist

After graduating from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology, Jessica continued her studies at McMaster completing her Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2022. Growing up in Guelph, Jessica is excited to return to the city and work at the HPC. As a Physiotherapist, Jessica will be working closely with a variety of the University of Guelph Gryphons varsity teams, including women’s soccer, men’s volleyball and wrestling. Jessica has always had a passion for sport and movement and draws from her athletic background in dance and running when providing care. Since recently completing her first half marathon, Jesse has developed a special interest in the biomechanics of running. While currently completing research on pelvic girdle pain, Jesse has a natural interest in treating various low back and pelvic conditions. Her other clinical interests include treatment of the ankle, knee, and shoulder. While providing treatment Jesse strives to provide a patient-centred approach that is adapted towards an individual’s goals and lifestyle. She is continuing to expand her manual therapy skills and strongly believes in evidence-based practice and exercise education. Throughout the rehabilitation process, Jesse hopes to empower her patients to do the things they love and enjoy.

Melanie Anderson-Ebel

Registered Kinesiologist

Melanie is a graduate from the University of Guelph’s Human Kinetics program and has been a Registered Kinesiologist since 2013. She is friendly and outgoing with a keen interest in getting injured persons back to their pre-injury status as soon as possible. With extensive experience in clinical kinesiology for the last 18 years, she brings with her a wealth of skills and education to facilitate the rehabilitation goals of her clients. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, hiking, yoga, curling, snowshoeing, skiing and reading a good book.

Heather Anderson

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Heather is an Honours Graduate of Georgian College’s Massage Therapy Program and a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapy Ontario. Heather gained experience from specific outreaches in treating athletes, pregnant women and infants, fibromyalgia, arthritic populations, cancer and palliative care, as well as general massage therapy treatments in Georgian College’s student clinic. Heather enjoys working with a variety of clients in all stages of life. A life-long athlete with playing, coaching and umpiring experience, ready to help you achieve your goals for treatment. Heather is a resident of Halton Hills and enjoys walking and hiking local trails, with friends, family and pets.
