Our Story

How it all started

In May of 1997, two physiotherapists — Kristin Long & Jackie Sinkeldam — opened the first Eramosa Physiotherapy clinic at Bullfrog Mall in Guelph. Their dream was simple: a clinic that strived to provide excellence in patient care, built on evidence-based practice and hands-on therapy.

Their philosophy drew physiotherapists with a similar vision, and the EPA family began to grow. Today we serve communities across Southern Ontario with 60+ practitioners and one of the strongest specialty practices in the region — including pelvic health, vestibular rehab, concussion care, and pediatric physiotherapy.

Our History

30+ years of growing with our communities

From a single Guelph clinic to nine locations across Southern Ontario —here’s how we’ve grown.

1997

Founded in Guelph

Kristin Long & Jackie Sinkeldam open the first Eramosa Physiotherapy clinic at Bullfrog Mall on Eramosa Road — our founding location and still our busiest clinic today.

1998

University of Guelph partnership

EPA is selected to represent the University of Guelph’s Health & Performance Centre — beginning a long-standing relationship with student-athletes and varsity teams.

2001–2002

Expansion to Acton & Hespeler

Growing demand leads to two new clinics — bringing EPA’s evidence-based approach to communities outside Guelph for the first time.

2005–2007

Three new clinics open

EPA opens locations in Orangeville, Georgetown, and Elora — extending care across Wellington and Dufferin Counties.

2017

Expansion into South Guelph

EPA opens Guelph Women’s Health Associates (now EPA – Gordon Street) a dedicated clinic focused on pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum care, and women’s health physiotherapy across the lifespan.
