|This large, bright facility opened in the south part of Georgetown in July 2005. The clinic now boasts three registered physiotherapists and one registered massage therapist.
The clinic has three private treatment rooms and a fully equipped gym and offers early morning and late evening appointments to service commuters. In addition, we offer acupuncture, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, paraffin wax and sport taping and bracing services.
In accordance with all EPA facilities our mission statement is to provide client centred, evidence based physiotherapy services through the use of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise.
|Meryl Da Costa, Registered Physiotherapist, Clinic Manager
A graduate of the University of Waterloo and McMaster University, Meryl is experienced in Acupuncture (Level 1) and Manual Therapy (Level 3). She has treated both professional and semi-professional athletes, and has a diverse clinical background that includes treating infants with developmental delay and torticollis. Meryl’s clinical interests lie in sport injuries, pediatric health and soccer injuries. A local resident, Meryl is a soccer coach with the Georgetown soccer association.
|Christine Filion, B.Sc.(P.T.), Registered Physiotherapist
A graduate of the University of Ottawa, and the University of Western Ontario, Christine has obtained her Intermediate Level in Manual Therapy ( Part A). She is also practiced in Acupuncture (Level II) and Temporo-mandibular derangments (jaw). Christine is taking on-going courses in vestibular rehab (vertigo) and concussion management. Her clinical interests lie in the areas of back, knee and neck rehabilitation as well as sport injuries and treating young children. Christine is a French-speaking therapist who participates in triathlons.
|Taryn Brown, M.P.T (PT) B.HSc. Registered Physiotherapist
Taryn completed her Master's in Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to that she graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honors Degree in Health Sciences. While studying she completed 5 seasons as a CIS athlete, playing on the women's varsity hockey team at both universities. Taryn believes strongly in manual therapy, a thorough understanding of anatomy and exercise prescription specific to individuals in order to return patients to the activities they enjoy. Her specific clinical interests include sports injuries, as well as back and shoulder conditions. She is passionate about continuing education and has participated in post-graduate education courses such as the McMaster Acupuncture Program, Soft Tissue Release, Mulligan Techniques, and her Level 1 of Manual Therapy
