Work-related physiotherapy programs support safe return to work through functional assessments, job-specific testing, and guided rehabilitation. This includes services such as POETs, Comprehensive Functional Abilities Evaluations, and Physical Demands Analyses to help assess capacity, guide recovery, and facilitate a safe return to work duties.
For injured workers, we provide timely assessment and treatment for workplace injuries — including WSIB claims — with preferred-provider reporting that outlines capabilities for modified work, typically within 48 hours of injury.
For employers, we deliver post-offer employment testing (POET), one- and two-day Functional Abilities Evaluations using standardized Metriks protocols, on-site Physical Demands Analyses, office ergonomic assessments, and workplace wellness seminars.

Common work-related injuries we treat
Workplace injuries commonly involve the low back, shoulder, elbow, and wrist — from repetitive strain to acute lifting injuries. Treatment is matched to your job’s actual physical demands, so your recovery targets the work you need to return to.
What to expect from your Eramosa physiotherapy experience
Path to Improved Health is the framework every Eramosa patient follows. We’ve used it to guide assessment, treatment, and recovery since 1997 — and it’s how we make sure nothing about your care is left to chance.
Assessment and accurate diagnosis
Timely assessment — within 48 hours of a workplace injury where needed — identifies your impairments and outlines your current capabilities, with reporting that supports modified-work planning from day one.
Treatment that targets the cause
Guided rehabilitation progresses toward your job’s real demands. Where useful, standardized functional testing measures your capacity objectively — including consistency-of-effort monitoring and, for endurance questions, two-day evaluation.

Reassessment and return to function
Functional Abilities Evaluations document your objective abilities for WSIB and other disability-claims management, support suitable modified-work plans, and confirm when you’re ready for full duties.

Common questions about work-related programs at Eramosa. Still have questions? We’re happy to help.
No. Physiotherapists in Ontario are primary care providers, so you can book an assessment directly. Our clinic team can help you understand what your WSIB claim requires when you call.
We provide timely assessments — within 48 hours of injury where needed — with reporting that outlines your capabilities for modified work.
A standardized 3–5 hour evaluation (or a two-day version when endurance and repetitive-work capacity matter) using Metriks protocols and equipment. It identifies impairments, outlines return-to-work capabilities, monitors consistency of effort, and produces comprehensive reporting — often used for WSIB and other disability-claims documentation.
Post-Offer Employment Testing: 40–45 minutes of essential physical testing that matches a candidate against a predetermined Physical Demands Analysis for the job. Clinical research supports that these screens reduce future risk of injury.
Yes. Alongside treatment, we provide employer services including POET testing, Functional Abilities Evaluations, on-site Physical Demands Analyses, office ergonomic assessments, and workplace wellness seminars on injury prevention topics.
