Accessibility Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Eramosa Physiotherapy Associates (EPA) is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all individuals.
We believe everyone should have equal opportunity to access our services, facilities, information, employment opportunities, and digital resources. We are committed to identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to accessibility and to providing services in a manner that respects the dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity of people with disabilities.
EPA is committed to meeting its obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Accessible Services
EPA is committed to providing accessible services to patients, caregivers, visitors, employees, job applicants, and members of the public.
We welcome individuals who use:
- Assistive devices
- Service animals
- Support persons
- Other accessibility supports
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that our services are provided in a manner that accommodates individual accessibility needs and promotes dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity.
Where accessibility needs cannot be met through our standard processes, we will work with the individual to identify a reasonable and appropriate solution.
Information and Communication
EPA recognizes that people communicate and access information in different ways.
Upon request, we will provide or arrange for information and communication materials in an accessible format or with appropriate communication support. We will consult with the individual requesting an accommodation to determine the most appropriate format or support based on their accessibility needs.
Requests for accessible formats or communication supports will be addressed in a timely manner and provided at no additional cost, where required by applicable legislation.
Website and Digital Accessibility
EPA is committed to providing an accessible website and digital content.
Our website and web content are designed and maintained with accessibility in mind and are intended to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, in accordance with applicable requirements under the AODA and IASR.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process. We will continue to review and improve our website and digital content as accessibility standards, technologies, and user needs evolve.
If you experience an accessibility barrier while using our website or digital content, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service in an accessible format or with appropriate communication support.
Employment Accessibility
EPA is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive workplace.
We provide accommodation for employees and job applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and during employment, in accordance with applicable legislation.
Applicants and employees are encouraged to communicate their accommodation needs. EPA will work collaboratively with individuals to identify appropriate and reasonable accommodation solutions.
Accessibility Training
EPA provides accessibility training to employees and other individuals as required by applicable legislation.
Training is appropriate to an individual’s duties and responsibilities and includes information about accessibility requirements, inclusive practices, and the provision of accessible services.
Feedback and Accessibility Concerns
EPA welcomes feedback about the accessibility of our services, facilities, communications, and website.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have a suggestion about how we can improve accessibility, please contact us using the information below.
We will review accessibility feedback and take appropriate action to address identified barriers and opportunities for improvement. Where a response is requested or appropriate, we will follow up with the individual providing the feedback.
Feedback can be provided in person, by phone, by email, or through another accessible method upon request.
Temporary Disruptions
EPA will communicate information about significant planned or unexpected disruptions to accessible services or facilities whenever reasonably possible.
Where an accessibility feature or service is temporarily unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and identify alternative arrangements or solutions where available.
Policy Review and Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment at EPA. We will regularly review our accessibility policies, practices, and procedures to ensure they remain consistent with applicable legislation and support the needs of our patients, employees, and community.
We will continue to identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers and incorporate accessibility considerations into the development and review of our services, facilities, communications, and digital resources.
