The EPA Cambridge physiotherapy clinic, in addition to offering early morning and late evening appointments, we offer direct billing to most major insurance companies and we welcome WSIB and Motor Vehicle clients.

Managing partner Jay Patel uses this bright, spacious clinic to offer the residents of Hespeler convenience and excellence in orthopaedic physiotherapy.

Jay Patel

BSc (PT), Registered Physiotherapist, Partner, Clinic Manager

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Jay has studied Manual Therapy and Orthopedic courses. He has a strong background in manual therapy, active release, and exercises prescription. His clinical interests lie in the shoulder, back, knee, ACL and surgery rehabilitation, as well as sports injuries, including soccer and hockey. Jay also enjoys volunteering his time as a soccer coach, spending time with his family, cooking and barbecuing, and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles. Fly Eagles Fly!

Michelle Lumasag

Registered Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, BScPT

She has been practicing physiotherapy for more than ten years in orthopedic and pelvic health. Michelle furthered her education by completing Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Levels 1-5. Other courses focus on male and female bladder incontinence, pre-and post-prostate surgery, male sexual dysfunctions like erectile dysfunction, pain with orgasms and erection, pregnancy, pre-and post-natal issues including vaginal and cesarian birth, male and female pelvic pain, lower back and pelvic girdle pain, sexual pain/ dyspareunia, pelvic organ prolapse, bowel dysfunction, menopause, and transgender pelvic health issues. She also completed Manual Therapy Levels 1-3 and is working on her Masters of Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal-Manipulative Physiotherapy (OMPT) Specialization at McMaster University. She believes in an evidence-based approach to treatment, and she incorporates a broad range of manual therapy skills, modalities including taping and acupuncture (AFCI), exercise prescription, patient education, and specialized pelvic health training, including the bio-psychosocial framework. She is passionate about lifelong learning through ongoing post-graduate clinical courses and conferences to provide her patients with the best care. Her clinical interests lie in back, shoulder, surgical rehabilitation, and pelvic floor issues.

Joseph McGill

BSc (PT), BA Kin, CAFCI Registered Physiotherapist

Joe has a wealth of physiotherapy experience as a graduate from The University of Western Ontario. He has worked in large multidisciplinary sports medicine clinics, and small rural practices. Since finishing University, he has continued to build on his education taking postgraduate courses in orthopedics, craniosacral therapy, Trigenics and is certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.

Carla Placido

BSc (PT), Registered Physiotherapist

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Carla is practiced in Acupuncture (CAFCI) and Manual Therapy (Level 3). Her clinical interests lie in the areas of back rehabilitation, acupuncture and low back core stability training. As someone who loves exercise, she has a strong background in manual therapy.

Mariya Waris

Registered Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Mariya graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Gulf Medical University, U. A. E. in 2006. She moved to Canada in 2016. Mariya completed the Canadian credentialing process and successfully is Registered and Rostered for Pelvic Physiotherapy. Mariya is an experienced practitioner and has worked extensively with a wide variety of Orthopedic and Pelvic conditions including leaking of urine during sneezing, jumping, daily activities, during pregnancy, post-delivery and after pelvic surgeries, weakness of pelvic floor, tightness of pelvic floor, prolapse of the pelvic organs, painful sex, fecal incontinence, and pelvic and back pain during pregnancy, after delivery and after pelvic surgeries. After performing an external and internal assessment, Mariya discusses treatment goals and puts forth a treatment plan that is customized to the patient’s individual needs. Mariya is fluent in speaking Arabic, Urdu and Hindi languages. In her spare time, Mariya enjoys working out, reading fiction and spending time with her family and friends.

Jane Esbaugh

Physiotherapy Assistant

Jane is a Kinesiologist who supports physiotherapists in helping patients restore their mobility and improve movement using modalities and exercise programs. Outside of work, Jane enjoys spending time with family and friends and relaxing at her family cottage. She is also an avid sports fan.

Receptionist

Tara and her family are residents of Hespeler. You will find Tara most days covering Reception in the afternoons and evenings and she will be happy to help you book appointments and answer billing-related questions.
