About Lara Desrosiers

Lara earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology, with a minor in Psychology, from McMaster University in 2007, followed by a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, also from McMaster, in 2009. She has completed extensive post-graduate training in pelvic health, pain science, and trauma-informed care, including Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Lara has worked as an occupational therapist in mental health and addictions since 2009, and in 2016 launched Pelvic Resilience, an OT practice focused on pain, pelvic health, and distressing symptoms. She is a skilled mental health clinician offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with clinical interests in pelvic health, chronic pain, and mental health. Lara is based at EPA’s Gordon Street clinic.

Outside the clinic, Lara enjoys gardening, crocheting and other crafts, running, playing basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee.
