Every child develops differently, and it’s not unusual for a child’s motor skills to progress at their own pace or for a child to need extra support recovering from an injury. Pediatric physiotherapy at EPA for Kids is designed to help children and their families navigate everything, including early developmental delays, infant feeding, bedwetting, sports injuries, and more, with care built around each child’s own needs.
Our EPA for Kids team supports children across our Guelph and Cambridge clinics, with pediatric pelvic health physiotherapy available at our Orangeville clinic and pediatric physiotherapy at our Elora clinic. The team emphasizes early intervention so each child receives care suited to how they learn and move.
Treatment follows a ‘Dynamic Core’ or ‘Central Stability’ approach, focused on early detection and treatment to help children build toward developmental milestones like crawling, walking, and other key motor skills.

Common conditions and concerns we support
What to expect from your child’s Eramosa physiotherapy experience
Path to Improved Health is the framework every Eramosa patient follows. We’ve used it to guide assessment, treatment, and recovery since 1997 — and it’s how we make sure nothing about your child’s care is left to chance.
Assessment, with you in the room
Your child’s first appointment is a relaxed, play-based session with a parent or guardian present throughout. Your physiotherapist observes how your child moves, plays, and interacts, and combines that with your history and any concerns to build an accurate picture of what’s going on.
Treatment built around play
Treatment is tailored to your child’s assessment findings and delivered through games, movement challenges, and activities rather than a clinical routine — kept engaging enough that your child stays motivated between visits. You’ll be shown exercises and strategies to continue at home.

Reassessment and milestones ahead
Kids’ development isn’t linear, so your physiotherapist reassesses regularly and adjusts the plan as your child progresses, working toward the milestones and activities that matter for their age and stage.
