Our Hespeler site opened in the northeast part of Cambridge and has been very successful over its fourteen year history. We offer physiotherapy and massage therapy services. We accept MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) claims and WSIB.
Managing partner Jay Patel uses this bright, spacious clinic to offer the residents of Hespeler convenience and excellence in orthopaedic physiotherapy.
Jay Patel, BSc (PT), Registered Physiotherapist, Partner
A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Jay has studied Manual Therapy and Orthopedic courses. He has a strong background in manual therapy, active release and exercise prescription. His clinical interests lie in shoulder, back, knee, ACL and surgery rehabilitation, as well as sport injuries, including soccer and hockey. Jay also enjoys volunteering his time as a soccer coach, spending time with his family, cooking and barbecuing and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles. Fly Eagles Fly!
Carla Placido, BSc (PT), Registered Physiotherapist
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Carla is practiced in Acupuncture (CAFCI) and Manual Therapy (Level 3). Her clinical interests lie in the areas of back rehabilitation, acupuncture and low back core stability training. As someone who loves exercise, she has a strong background in manual therapy.
Joseph McGill, BSc (PT), BA Kin, CAFCI Registered Physiotherapist
Joe has a wealth of physiotherapy experience as a graduate from The University of Western Ontario. He has worked in large multidisciplinary sports medicine clinics, and small rural practices. Since finishing University, he has continued to build on his education taking postgraduate courses in orthopedics, craniosacral therapy, Trigenics and is certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Frank Kumi, MSc (PT), BSc Hon (Kin), Registered Physiotherapist
Frank is a graduate of Queen’s University Physical Therapy Program. Prior to that he attended York University for Kinesiology. Frank has furthered his clinical education by completing courses on Soft Tissue Release, Manual Therapy Level 1, Post-Concussion Management, and Acupuncture. He plans to take further courses in Manual Therapy and Acupuncture. His treatment techniques include the use of education, specialized exercise prescription, manual therapy, and soft tissue release. His clinical interests include the shoulder, low back, knee, and sport injury rehab. As an individual who enjoys staying active Frank can be found at the gym, playing basketball or out on walks.
Jane Esbaugh, Physiotherapy Support
Jane is a Kinesiologist who supports physiotherapists in helping patients restore their mobility and improve movement using modalities and exercise programs. Outside of work, Jane enjoys spending time with family and friends and relaxing at her family cottage. She is also an avid sports fan.
Tamara McIver, RMT
Tamara has completed a 3 year Massage Therapy Diploma from Sir Sanford Fleming College. She has also completed the Ontario registration examinations in June 2006 and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). In June of 2007, Tamara also received extra training in myofascial release and a prenatal course through Trimesters massage therapy education.
Sam Lightowler, Office Manager
Sam moved to Cambridge from England in 2009 wither family and pets. You will find her covering Reception in the mornings and early afternoons, she is available to book appointments, answer billing questions, including MVA and WSIB.
Tara Lawson, Receptionist
Tara and her family are residents of Hespeler. You will find Tara most days covering Reception in the afternoons’ and evenings and she will be happy to help you book appointments and answer billing related questions.
