At our Georgetown Physiotherapy clinic in addition to offering early morning and late evening appointments, we offer the convenience of being able to submit paid receipts to most primary insurance companies on your behalf, with payment directed to the policy holder.  We also welcome WSIB and Motor Vehicle clients

Our Physiotherapy Services in Georgetown

Our highly skilled physiotherapists are trained in a variety of treatment techniques that include manual therapy, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, dry needling, specialized exercise management, vestibular and dizziness rehabilitation, and soft tissue release. In 2019 our Georgetown location introduced Shockwave Therapy to the community of Halton Hills. Shockwave Therapy is an effective modality at treating plantar fasciitis, calcific shoulder tendonitis, tennis elbow, and patellofemoral pain. Our Georgetown location offers two unique programs Pelvic Health and Concussion Management. Our Pelvic health programs provide care for both male and female clients that are suffering from incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, pregnancy, and postpartum concerns while our concussion management programs manage any clients suffering from Motor Vehicle and sports-related concussions In addition to physiotherapy, our Georgetown location employs massage therapists that have received formal training in Swedish massage and fascial release techniques. We also offer the latest in therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential current, TENS, muscle stimulation, and electro-acupuncture.

Meryl DaCosta

Registered Physiotherapist, BSc (PT), BHSc (Kin), Clinic Director

Meryl is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and McMaster University. Meryl has furthered her education by completing a variety of Manual Therapy courses (Levels 1 – 3), Vestibular Rehabilitation, AFCI Acupuncture, Sports Taping, Pelvic Health Courses ( Levels 1 – 50, The Diane Lee Integrated Systems Model ( cranium, Cervical and Thoracic Spine and the Lumbo-Pelvic-Hip). Her treatment techniques include the use of Manual Therapy, Soft Tissue Release Techniques and Specialized Exercise prescription to help her patients return to their activities. Her clinical interests include, men and women’s health, and pelvic health ,sport injury rehab Concussion Management and shoulder, neck, back, and S I Joint Rehabilitation. In addition to treating clients and managing both in Acton and Georgetown locations, she also mentors physiotherapy students and new physiotherapists that join EPA the team.

Zenilkumar Gandhi

Registered Physiotherapist, BSc (PT), FCAMPT

Zenil is a graduate of S.P. University from India. Zenil has furthered his education by completing Manual Therapy Level 1-5 and has earned his Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy. Zenil is also certified in concussion, vertigo and dizziness management, acupuncture, dry needling, and medical acupuncture. His treatment techniques include the use of Manual Therapy, Specialized Exercise, soft tissue techniques, and Acupuncture. His clinical interests include orthopaedic conditions of the neck, shoulder, low back, and knees, concussion management, and post-surgical rehab, sport injury rehab.

Meera Senjaliya

Registered Physiotherapist

Meera is a Registered Physiotherapist, a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and rostered Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Meera takes an evidence-based and hands-on manual approach to care. She incorporates mobilization techniques in her practice for various conditions and with patients struggling with activities to help improve mobility and get back to their activities of daily living. Meera has expertise in analyzing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and provides conservative management care as well as post-operative rehabilitation. She is always eager to expand her professional knowledge base and is actively taking continuing education courses. She is trained in manual therapy, manipulation techniques and has successfully completed Orthopaedic Division Level 1 She is passionate about women’s health with an emphasis on during pregnancy and postpartum. She feels that educating her clients on what happens during these times anatomically plays a pivotal role in a quick and lasting recovery. Meera is an avid learner and has studied various courses on Pelvic health and utilizes this knowledge to better treat her clients. Meera recognizes that every pregnancy is different and no two patients can have the same treatment plan, hence she works meticulously to ensure treatment plans are customized. Meera has completed specialized training to treat pelvic floor issues such as stress incontinence, pelvic organ prolapses, pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, painful intercourse, perinatal and postnatal care. She believes common pelvic issues in women need to be discussed and treated, not just ‘dealt with’ without getting to the cause of the issue”

Pooja Mehul Bhatt

Registered Physiotherapist

Pooja is a Registered Physiotherapist, in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. She is passionate about providing patient-centred care by creating an individualized program using manual therapy, exercise prescription and education. She has completed courses in the pelvic floor (Level 1 and 2), taping and concussion. She strongly believes in lifelong learning and has a keen interest in pursuing acupuncture, pelvic floor rehabilitation, orthopaedics, advanced manual therapy and soft tissue manipulation. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, singing and cooking.

Sandra Bosich

Physiotherapy Resident

Sandra is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and McMaster University. She has additional training in soft tissue techniques, taping, Vodder courses in Manual Lymph Drainage, McMaster Medical Acupuncture, and sports recovery techniques. Her clinical interests are in postural syndromes related to neck and low back pain as well as repetitive strain injuries and their prevention. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and looks forward to furthering her education in manual therapy and exercise programming. In her spare time, she is a passionate foodie and loves working in her garden.

Qian McCann

Registered Kinesiologist

Qian is an Honour graduate of Redeemer University’s Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program (2018). She then went on to further her studies at Niagara College, gaining a diploma in Exercise Science for Health and Performance (2020). Qian has worked with youth to geriatrics in a wide range of settings such as; sports camps, clinics, gyms and long-term care. Qian has developed a love for helping people return to their functional abilities, through exercise prescription, focusing on proper technique and individual rehab stage.

Heather Anderson

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Heather is an Honours Graduate of Georgian College’s Massage Therapy Program and a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapy Ontario. Heather gained experience from specific outreaches in treating athletes, pregnant women and infants, fibromyalgia, arthritic populations, cancer and palliative care, as well as general massage therapy treatments in Georgian College’s student clinic. Heather enjoys working with a variety of clients in all stages of life. A life-long athlete with playing, coaching and umpiring experience, ready to help you achieve your goals for treatment. Heather is a resident of Halton Hills and enjoys walking and hiking local trails, with friends, family and pets.

Julie Lawrie

Lead Office Administrator

With over 18 years of Administrative experience in professional office positions, I thrive on keeping busy and meeting new people. My organizational skills, my desire to learn new things and to help people have continuously resulted in positive outcomes. I moved to Georgetown in 2005 and love being a part of such a great community. Since then, I have volunteered for many years with St. Catherine of Alexandria School and other organizations, such as CAShh and The Georgetown Soccer Club. When I am not working, I love spending my time with family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors, keeping active and going for long walks. Some of my other passions include baking and cake decorating.

I am a graduate of Brescia University College. I enjoy expanding my knowledge and learning new skills. I am a hard-working and friendly individual who enjoys communicating with others. In my spare time, I like to watch movies, read, and hang out with friends and family.

Paige joined our team in October 2021. Paige is in her first year at Nipissing University. She loves watching movies, hanging out with her friends, listening to music and going on walks with her dog Baxter.
